Colours

The colours used online are slightly different from the tones we recommend for non-digital products.

When colour is used as a background, the text and background colours must be contrast tested to ensure the combination meets accessibility standards.

Status palette

These tones are used strictly error messaging and alerts. Using colour alone to communicate status does not meet accessibility criteria, with this in mind we have modified our messages and feedback patterns to be strictly black and white.

It is important that colour not be used exclusively to communicate severity or meaning.
